Each ball is wet-felted by hand from undyed and plant-dyed wool until it is firm enough to throw and soft enough to carry gently. They bounce a little, roll a lot, and make no noise at all on wooden floors.
Wool is naturally springy and resists smells, so they stay pleasant longer than you might expect.
